How and when do you paint the window surrounds on an automobile?? ie mask and spray them?
Spray before or after clear coating? It looks on the Mitsu you do it after clear, so you tape on that gorgeous clear?

Which Filler putty do you guys recommend? and how do you use it?

I have seen a guy on YouTube who uses something called Wamod - Washable Acrylic Putty thinned and applied with a brush... and then cleaning off the excess using a cotton bud moistened with thinner...

This seems to work great on small seams and panel joins.

Looks a much better option than the Humbrol Filler or Milliput options I have used in the past!

Hiya Guys, watched last night but had to keep dropping in and out as went out to the pub with the wife, so have re watched the questions section this morning.
Thanks for the info but as there were 2 questions about 'Filler / Putty' my specific question did not really get answered.

Can I ask it again in a better and more specific way next week?

Asking the question's in a different way;

Have any of you guys used Wamod Filler? Is it any good / worse / better than the Vallejo Putty I am using?

Have you used the technique of removing excess filler with a Q-Tip moistened with thinner instead of waiting till its hard dry and then sanding?

No worries mate and sorry for not being more specific with your question. I shall ask it first on the coming show :)

Just seen there is no Live Show this evening, I hope everyone is well & OK?

can I ask my question be carried over for the next please?

Hiya Guys,
Thanks for answering my question. As no one had heard of Wamod filler here is a picture and a description (Google Translate from Polish).

I have not as yet used this myself but have ordered a couple of pots to try it out after seeing it being used on a couple of YouTube videos by Eastern European modellers.
I have been using various fillers and out of several I am preferring the Vallejo Plastic Putty 70.401 in 20 ml tubes but at £3.00 for 20 ml its not cheap and I find it will not thin well for smaller cracks and lines like for example the GW liquid green stuff but green stuff does not seem to like Vallejo paints!! So I was looking for something else!

In the description for the Wamod filler it mentions Wamod dilutent, this means thinner and the one guy uses basically rubbing alcohol (70% IPA & 30% DI Water) so using Tamiya X20A or any IPA based airbrush thinner will I guess work.

"A water-thinning finishing putty, suitable for all materials.
It does not react with any of the materials, which allows it to be removed effectively without leaving any marks after filling.
The putty can be removed completely or partially with a cotton pad impregnated with WAMOD diluent. You can also use a thinner for final smoothing (instead of abrasive papers).
Stir well before use. If the product is too thick, it can be diluted with a small amount of water (too much water will cause loss of properties).
After drying, waterproof. I accept all paints.
A WATER PRODUCT, COMPLETELY SAFE TO USE, NON-FLAMMABLE, NON -OXICALLY, PRACTICALLY UNFORGETTABLE!"
