Stripping Paint back

Post by sheppsea »

Evening all,

Another query from me I'm afraid!

As you may have seen on the other thread regarding chipping fluid, I have run into some trouble using it on my Stuka so I am now going to strip it all back.

Normally I would use Mr Colour Levelling Thinner, but this time I don't want to strip it back to the plastic and just to the coat of Alclad Aluminium I have underneath and then try using sale or liquid mask to add chips.

Does anyone know if Mr Colour Levelling Thinner will also strip the Alclad (I am assuming it will do to be honest), and if there are any other options? The paint all all Mr Hobby Aqueous with Mr Levelling Thinner

Yes - tried it yesterday and Levelling Thinner does also strip back Alclad, but it take a lot more effort :th:
