Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *February 23rd*

Post by Kingdan »

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?”

NEW! Starting this upcoming Friday, the Live! Crew will not only review your work, they will also pick their favorite build for the week. The entry with the most votes will win an ISM Goodie Bag! It is just one more reason to show us your work each week, so what are you waiting for?

**Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, February 23rd**

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew.

This week I have been mostly building this Heller 1/72 Westland Seaking Mk.48 of the Belgian AF
It's an old kit with lots of rivets, so carefull sanding was needed.
I have used Ultimate grey primer and Revell Aqua acrylics. Still lot to do.

Slow burner nearing completion. My Revell 1/32, EC145 Eurocopter in Metropolitan Police colors. Used Tamiya X3 Royal Blue and X7 Lemon Yellow. Peddinghaus decals that turned out a little pale and thin in my opinion. Still needs some small things including the windscreen wiper, antennae and radar dome. Its going to a friend from the U.K. who is living here in the states now. It's a good kit overall with options for medevac, police and military versions. Thanks for the great show.

Got the cockpit just about done for my Aoshima McLaren F1. I've picked up a set of Eduard belts as there were none in the kit so the main roll cage and seat are just dry fitted at the moment so I can pop them out to install the belts. Next up is a start on the bodywork.

Airfix 1/48 Lightning F Mk.1/1A
Tamiya 1/48 A6M2 Zero (Zeke)
Eduard 1/48 Mig-21R

Ultimate Black primer and paint on the Mig is MRP White to be followed by Dark Grey and US Navy GreyBblue for the camo on top. Underside will be Su-33 MRP 3-tone camo Blue topped off with Low-Vis Polish decals from Montex. I really hope my painting improves with the other colours as the white is frankly..... poo :wall:

Seams are all checked on the Zeke and silver paint will be applied to the Lightning by the time Dan struggles to read this

Been working on a Eduard 1/48 Fokker Dr 1 for a buddy build with a couple of friends here in Stockholm. Been using this as fun build and trying out some new stuff on. Have only added a couple of wires the rest is out of the box. The wood was painted using a light tan color with a dark brown oil paint streaked over and then finally painted with transparent orange. The rest has been painted in green, steel, leather brown, black and a custom mix light yellow and given a dark brown/black oil wash.

I’ve been working on this Tamiya Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI Martini for the Car and Bike GB. Paints are Stynylrez Primer, Vallejo Metal Color and Tamiya. Sub-assemblies are just dry fit at this point. As Scott mentioned in his update, lots of paint callouts make for a slow build.

1:24 scale Belkits Ford Escort RS1600 Mk1
Motobitz 1972 East Africa Safari Decal and resin upgrade set

Slow progress on my Car Group build this week, the new set of decals arrived and the damaged ones repaired. Chassis and tub interior painted and assembled. I hope to assemble the seatbelts as I watch tonight's show. Looking to add the aftermarket resin and assemble over the weekend, getting close to the finish line with this one.

This week I completed the cockpit on my Mosquito build and joined the fuselage halves together today.

I used Tamiya XF-71 Cockpit Green as the main colour, then Vallejo Model Colour to detail paint. It then has a burnt umber oil wash and streaks were added with Ammo Mig Interior streaking. Finally I added Ammo Mig pigements (I used a mixture of different earth and dust colours).

I used a combination of Revell Cement and TET to join the fuselage halves

I also just realised the cockpit sidewall not yet glued in place in upside down in the photo

Got more done on the 1/72 Revell Phantom F-4F. Fairly self explanatory really since last week it was just a cockpit!
