Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *March 9th*

Post by Kingdan »

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?”

NEW! Starting this upcoming Friday, the Live! Crew will not only review your work, they will also pick their favorite build for the week. The entry with the most votes will win an ISM Goodie Bag! It is just one more reason to show us your work each week, so what are you waiting for?

**Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, March 9th**

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew.

Howdy all!

Finished up my Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1A Corsair! Primed in Ultimate Black. Painted in Vallejo Model Air White, MM Dark Sea Blue and MM USN Blue Gray M-484. Weathered with Vallejo washes and pigments. Final coat done in MM Semi-Gloss Lacquer. Fun build. Went together really well and I highly recommend it if you're interested in a Corsair.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

1/24 Aoshima McLaren F1 GTR continues... the cockpit has been completed with an AM harness and installed on the chassis, and I've made a start on the body shell. Interior of the shell was primed in Ultimate grey and then sprayed with a mixed metallic grey. This was then masked off and the exterior primed in Ultimate black followed by four coats of Ultimate Glossy Black for the base colour. Decals went on fine although I did manage to mangle one of the Goodyear stencils with magnificent ham-fistedness. Need to sort that and then gloss coat the body - next up some doors to keep the draughts out!

Ebbro tyrrell 002.

Finished this one this week, really pleased with this out come.

painted with zero paints and there 2k gloss, other parts where painted withAlcads, mr metal paints.
Added AN fittings cables, pipes, rivets switches to the dashboard and aftermarket velocity stacks.

Really nice kit, it helped that I built the tyrrell 003 before as the rear suspension can be quite fiddle, part placement needs to be precise for the engine to line up with the body when it comes to attaching it.

Finished this 1/48 ICM Mig 25 this week. It is a really nice kit with great fit and details. I build it pretty much OOB except for a set of PE belts. Painted it using MR Paints Russian colors and weathered it using Ultimate Dark Dirt, oils and inks.

I have finished the the Mig 21 SMT for the buddy build that is taking place. I enjoyed this build very much and as said previously, I am glad i have more of them in the stash. Weathered with enamels, watercolour pencils, pigments and the paintwork itself. It was a blast

Tamiya's 1:24 Porsche 911 GT2 is a cracking kit! Loving it totally, Really happy with how the wheels have turned out. Outer rims were sprayed with AK Extreme Chrome while the inner rims and nuts were hand-painted with AK True Metals Gold and Steel, Then covered in several coats of Gauzy all on top of Ultimate's Gloss Black Primer.

All the racing and NASCAR subjects here lately got me to pull this one off the shelf of doom. Its a Revell 1/24, 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr in the Daytona 500. The paint is rattle can, the decals are from "Just Want to Build a Model" but the fine print says Cartograph, Made in Italy. The kit comes with "child safe" non alchohlic Dale Jr decals instead of the beer sponsor. The replacement Budweiser decals are great. Painted a couple of years ago, started the decals this week. Thanks for doing the show. Have a good week. :thumb2: :cheers2:

Hi all, here is my progress on my first kit ever. It's a 1/48 Hobby Boss British Hellcat. Really enjoying it so far. All the hints found here and there helped a lot.

The cockpit was painted in XF71 and different Vallejo colors for small details. The decals looked quite thick but reacted well to microset/sol. I did the belts with masking tape and wire (thanks to John's videos). I then used Tamiya accent color brown and Mig dark earth pigments.
The engine was painted in aluminium and the nose is a mix of Vallejo neutral grey and Citadel Caledor Sky. This time, I used Tamiya accent color black. The exhausts will be painted later.

It's far from perfect, but I'm really happy with the result so far. Now I'm waiting for the moment when I'll screw it up :P

Slow and steady progress on the Eduard Mig 21MF.
Very glad of the extended time for the Andreas Skaar SiG.

Painted with Akan colours. Post faded and shaded using base colour mixed with white and black. Looks a little stark at the minute but should knock back under Matt coat. Just masking off to paint the exhaust, which will be done with AK Extreme Metals, Tamiya clears and oils.

Decals next before further paint effects and oils.

I have been working on Tamiya's Honda CB750F bike 1/12.
Primer Tamiya surface light grey spray. Parts brush painted with Tamiya's acrylic paints. Sanding parts and etc and glueing.
I painted both wheels with black and grey but it didn't look great so I had to take it off. Now they look like secondhand parts and I like the look and maybe I leave it like that, don't know yet. Very soon I have to decide what colour the bike will be, grey or red like originals one's, or something else.
I have never done bikes so this is new, so many little details I have to remember.

Revell/Monogram 1/48 McDonnell Douglas AV8-B USMC Harrier.
Box stock build of the old 1987 kit. Paintwork using Vallejo Model Air.
The decals were a real pain, being so old, the glue reside clung to the film, and had to be carefully cleaned off every decal.
I would still like to add a bit more chalk weathering before I call it officially finished.
