Richard's MENG World War Toons Sherman (Calliope)

The P47 Thunderbolt I was planning on completing ... is rather 'well not going to get completed unfortunately ... however "Not all is Lost" I have decided to give it one last shot for the final 10 days of the build to create something else, something slightly different ... I picked up myself one of these Toon Sherman tanks ... Ive also got a few bits of plasticard tubing lying around and thought id give it a go at creating a scratch built Calliope device on the top of the tank ... I'm aware that Retrokit does an excellent Resin aftermarket set however I really want to give it a go making my own and also to add on some other details around the tank ...

Next bit to work on will be getting the rocket pods thingies on-top of the tank built ... These are created from some Plasticard tubing with some smaller sections glued in-between to hold the pieces together ... My design I've gone fro a top bank of 5 with 2 below (1 either side)









Laid it ontop of the hull to see if the sides lined up with the edges of the turret so when I install the legs to the turret they are straight and not crooked !!!
