Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long,please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

I've finished my Tamiya's 1/48 Ki-61 HIEN. Wonderful kit. I painted hinomaru and blue strip using homemade masks. First time in my life and I feel EPIC!!.
Overall colour is Alcad 2 polished aluminium. Spots are painted free handed.

Hi Guys, once again, a BIG thank you for voting my fish submersible build-of-the-week on last weeks show, it really meant a lot

This week I started work on the Industria Mechanika 1/35 The Hornethopter.
A busy work schedule means I've only been able to complete basic assembly and prime with Mr. Surfacer 1200, but a looming problem is I can't make up my mind on the body colour and how the wings should look (clear plastic, printed plastic or Japanese paper).

The kit includes two very nicely detailed figures, meaning I’m going to need to up my figure-painting skills to do them justice

I found some time to weather my Bandai AT-ST this week. The image is a bit more red than the actual model, but it is pretty rusted. I experimented with a technique of using very thin grey from the base coat and stippled it on the body with a stiff brush to create a mottled steel look. It's subtle but you can see it on the flat panels. It was weathered with vallejo paints and photographed in the paint booth prior to applying Alclad flat. Some may call out the "5" decal on the sides; in my mind this is a military vehicle and needs identifying marks

Howdy all!

Work continues on my Academy 1/48 MiG-21 MF Fishbed-J for the GB!. Everything primed in Ultimate Black or Gloss Black depending on application.
Cockpit and interior painted with a random mix of Tamiya Acrylics until it looked like the Russian turquoise you see in photos. Shock cone in Tamiya Dark Green. Bits and bobs in Tamiya acrylic range. Moving house next week, so I probably won't get anymore bench time until the new man cave is up and ready. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Hi Folks,

Work continues on the 1/32 Trumpeter SBD-5/A-24B Dauntless:

Fuselage and wings joined together and the outboard sections of the wing undersides primed in Mr Surfacer (diluted 50/50 with MLT) - 1200 grey for the port wing and 1500 black for the starboard. Both wings were picked out in MRP-105 US Navy Grey Blue and painted before I realised it was the wrong colour Anyway, a quick spraying of US Navy White soon corrected my mistake and here's the result:

I'll go with the black primer and infill technique and keep the panel line post shading in reserve which should produce an overall darker grey. Because of the previous colour being dark I've lost some of the tonal variation between the two primers - you can't really see much difference on camera but to the nekked eye it looks ok......

Last weeks build - and I really need to get used to the forum a bit more, Revell 1:24 Porsche Junior 108. Tamiya X-7 used with various spare paints including humbrol (?) off the shelf, finished with a bit of Ultimate dirt and mud weathering.

Not a particularly exotic kit, but the finished product is quite a pretty thing.
