It started so well with the cockpit going together well and some testing of MRP metallic paints on the hidden areas of the fuselage insides:

Dry fitting the wings went well and it was at this point I plummeted off the cliff edge in an ever increasing catalogue of errors. First off was the three days I waited for the sprue glue to dry - only to discover that nearly every single inc of the stuff was to be covered by the spine Please ignore the 1/32 Tamiya F-14 resin cockpit in the pic.

Now I had seen this Romanian scheme and thought it would make a nice subject so off on a tangent I went:

Part 2:

Now you will have noticed that the primer went from grey to black in the last pic? This is because at that time it was discovered that heating Ultimate Primers caused the stuff to flow better at lower pressures and it works - really

So at this point I re-primed and chose a Polish special scheme and laid the first colour down:

Finally I was happy with the colours so I started decalling:

By the time I had stuck down over 130 stencils on the Mig it was heading for a crash and burn - or rather a hammer, some fuel and an ignition source
