Ism Friday's night live at the bench what have you been working on for *July 13th*

Post by Kingdan »

"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?”

NEW! Starting this upcoming Friday, the Live! Crew will not only review your work, they will also pick their favorite build for the week. The entry with the most votes will win an ISM Goodie Bag! It is just one more reason to show us your work each week, so what are you waiting for?

**Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, July 13th**

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew.

Hello, I've just completed my 1/35 Meng BMPT Terminator. OOB with RB metal barrels.

Splinter camo was painted using Vallejo Model Air. Weathered using just black and grime clay washes.

Mixed bag from me this week - I've gone back to my Bristol Buckingham for the Bomber SIG and being a Valom kit I was shocked and horrified to find that some of the parts actually fit together ok! Luckily for the most part it's continued to present the expected challenge and much filling and sanding (rinse and repeat) has got me to the point where the fuselage is together and the rear horizontal stabilizer and main wings are now attached. On the right are the engine parts from a Bandai X-Wing I've just started for the 1/72 SIG. Fit is great, and these have been painted with Ultimate Black primer and Vallejo Metal Colours Burnt Iron & Exhaust Manifold with a drybrush off GW Leadbelcher and a final black clay wash to pick the details out.

Thanks to bfrd for developing the Flickr integration - it's a superb piece of work :

Cheers, Neil

I thought I'd complete the 1/144 Su-47 Berkut tonight but the best laid plans etc. the decals began to disintegrate after I'd put four of the stars on, grrrrrr. Luckily the tiny Sukhoi logo's survived for the radome. But it's not going to be finished today. Friday the 13th struck or Trumpeters decals for this kit were dodgy, your call.
Luckily I have some spare decals (slightly smaller, but they'll go onto the fins so they're even in that respect) from the Academy 1/144 MiG 29 which I'm doing as ai "civilianised joyrider" a-la MiGflug (except its a single seater). Mach 2 to the stratosphere must be a peak experience. At €20'000 for the real thing, this MiG is the closest I'll get to that. Heavy sigh.

Not much to show, but I did start an Airfix 1/72 Martlet for Tomcat's 1/72 SIG.

So far I've only done the cockpit, which went together really easily. Painted using Tamiya Olive Drab. The bulkhead on the left is painted using Tamiya J.A. Grey, as it's the closest I have to the beige green in the call-out. It'll hardly be seen so it'll do fine. Instruments are all decals, which went down well with Daco setting solution.

Imagemix by andrew Haycock, on Flickr

Bit of a mix post .
Working on the m113 diorama base . Paint used Vallejo yellow ochre. green ochre, dark grey, black red , saddle brown , german camo brown and panzer aces canvas. Used a diy wet palette to keep the paint/ mixes between sessions. Figures are a mixture of academy and master box too many colours to list but main ones are Vallejo flat flesh , medium flesh and brown violet.

Hog from hell

I'll keep it short for you Dan.
This week I've mostly been painting the mahusive wing of the 1/72 B-29 for the Bomber sig. Used Ultimate primer and ak xtreme metals. Namely polishes aluminium and white aluminium. A bit of black and yellow for the props and possibly dark.aluminium on a panel or two. If I'm honest I can't remember. Anyways first time I've tried a metal finish aeroplane so here's fingers crossed for what it will end up looking like....
