Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long,please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

This week I've focused on my 1/35 Zvezda Panzerjager 1, after a couple of weeks working on other things.

I've almost finished building, just need to add a couple of headlights and a few bits of PE here and there. Then there are the individual track links which I'm putting off as long as possible!

I finished up my Bandai R2-D2 this week. I really am pleased with how he turned out.



I decided I wanted a bit more of a metallic blue than provided by the kit plastic. I first cut out all of the parts that were to be blue and primed them with Ultimate Gloss Black. Once that was dried I sprayed them with Vallejo Metal Colors Chrome. With that coat dry I mixed up some Tamiya X-23 Clear Blue with Ultimate Thinners at about a 50:50 mix. I then misted on a coat of color and immediately dried it with a blast of air. I repeated until I was happy with the color. The 50:50 mix was admittedly too thin and I did have some issues with inconsistent shades of blue. The silvery bits are Vallejo Metal Colors - Dark Aluminum. A bit darker than it should have been, but I really like this color. The white is just Badger/Ultimate white primer. Weathering was done with only Ultimate Light Dirt wash. Slathered it on, let it dry, and wiped it off; couldn't have been any easier.

I've made a start on the Zvezda Star Destroyer 1/2700 scale. It's a beast of a kit. I plan to light it up of course but need to decide on what lighting kit i use or scratch build my own lighting. I plan to have a build diary on my YouTube page and have started a thread in the scfi section on the forum, link to thread on my signature .

Finished this Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk IXc, it's build out of the box without any extras. Did it as a quick build to get some mojo back and also try some different weathering techniques using oils. Painted it in Ultimate black primer, Mr Hobby super metallics that was masked with maskol to create the large chipping and then MR Paints British colors applied. Used a lot of different grey and brown Abteilung oils for the weathering and a few earth tone pigments. The smaller chipping was added using brown, green and silver watercolor pencils.

Hi to all,
This is my WIP on NKVD figure vignette. Resin figure is from Evolution Miniatures. I am using Vallejo paints, I’ve tried to add Tamiya X-21 to achieve flat finish, but I forgot to add it as I added highlights, also I don’t know what amount I needed to add to the paint to achieve dead flat finish.
I made the street with DAS clay with the addition of white glue so that there would not be a crack (that is the advice I saw on a Youtube channel). I was inspired by a photo of Stalin walking the streets. I have to add a building wall, or a fence to the base, and work a little bit more on the figure.
This is my 5th or 6th figure in total and the first resin one, and for the first time I am doing the base so it is going slowly. I still have plenty to learn.

Well this week Mathew I have finally got to painting stage.....

The church has been primed in Ultimate primer then first coat of Life color "Dark Stone" Clearly loads to do.

The Alter has been also primed in Ultimate black primer then a number of paints used but fully explained in the next episode of the build series. Sorry for the late post but still at it as i type.

This week I managed to give it a wash. And attach the aftermarket refueling probe.

Fresh Mancave and a fresh start, building the tractor unit of the 1/35 Takom Kraz-260V tank transporter, might build as a private owner and patched up paintwork, undecided yet, lets see how far I get before it might go back in the box
