Kiwigavs Zvezda Star Destroyer 1/2700 scale

Post by kiwigav »

Hi team here is the begining of a long journey to build, what I would say is my ultimate build to date.
The Zvezda Star Wars Star Destroyer 1/2700 scale
This kit is now boxed by Revell and is a very good kit. There is plenty of after market available and I am still in the research stage deciding what lighting kit to use or build my own lighting. I am leaning to a pre produced kit as I have very little experience with LEDs and wiring.

There are some great buidls out there and plenty of inspiration. Below Spru shots and a link to my review

Update 1

Made a start on the SD. Put some of the detail panels on upper hull parts and glued in the front upper and lower nose sections. I used Tamiya glue to set in place then added some CA glue and baking soda welds for strength. The plastic seems to have various molded thicknesses so I am using some Tulip to light block the bad parts. Once primer black goes down there shouldn't be any light leaks.
I thought about buying a 3d printed hanger but have decided to drill out windows on the kit itself instead. Holding it up to work light shows how it's going.
