Hobbyboss 1/72 Me262 Easy Assembly Authentic kit - completed

Just a quick update on the HobbyBoss 1/72 Me262 Easy Assembly Authentic kit....


It was a very quick build with a surprising amount of detail for an Easy Assembly kit. Nose was weighted to about 8 grams to avoid tail sitting - Nick (Daishi12) found some scrap lead which was held in place with super glue. The underside was painted with Revell Mouse Grey and then upper surfaces painted with Revell Dunkelgrun. Then light dabs of red/brown were applied to upper surfaces. The Mouse Grey was then thinned and free hand painted with a micro brush. Nick helped me with the decals ...































A couple of things to note - The box art does not show the Swastikas, and on the decal sheet you have 2-part Swastikas supplied. Obviously this is to get around the European regulations regarding the import and display of Swastikas. Also it should be noted that there are a very large number of decals to be applied, including 4 red coloured decals to go onto the nose wheel approximately .3mm each.

This is excellent work MrsModeller, it's certainly better than anything I did when I got back into the hobby and that was a just a few years ago.
With Nick giving you a hand here and there you'll be showing us how to build soon.

Well done it looks great. You've obviously got a large amount of skill for this hobby as both your builds have turned out really nicely plus they would be a challenge for the rest of us, especially this one as that is a complex camo scheme - again well done on an excellent finish.
