Thinking of doing the Wingnuts Sopwith Camel. As a beginner, is a Wingnuts kit going to be a huge challenge? Considering the cost of these kits, I don't want to get in over my head and end up not finishing.

It will be my first WNW kit as well, so we will be in it together
From messing around with some parts and reading, they are a well made, good fitting brand.
The difficulty lies in how detailed you go and what techniques you apply
I am sure between us, we can work through the kits together...I have the pup as well in the stash so can follow your instruction sheet
That is the good part of a forum build

I started reading up on my my kit online and would reccomend you do the same.
There are many builds and references if you just google search your particular kit
Good time to think about what livery you will paint it and get paint and any aftermarket stuff ordered now
I haven’t decided on mine yet

Roden makes one of these, although I did read it had some problems with the roof I think. I would love one too , but I think I will wait to see if any corrections occur

Yep I looked at the Roden and probably saw the same reviews as you - problems with the roof, fenders and general fit. One guy totally ripped it to shreds so I had an outbreak of common sense and gave it a miss.

Looking forward to comparing notes on the Ford-T

Count me in, probably for an artillery piece. I've seen a set of 75mm howitzers with crewmen that have piqued my interest, thinking it would make a cool diorama. But then there's this kit of a Sikorsky fighter of the Russian Imperial Air Service.....Can I do both?

I think with resicast the first 2 digits of the kit number designate the scale, but not sure about that.

I think I'm going to enter this, will be my first GB, just finishing up on my Huey Gunship, so the bench is free now, was going to start something else, but this has sparked my interest.

I've never actually built an aeroplane kit (I know!) so I might look for a kit today, choice seems to be limited for WW1, any recommendations?

Or I may just stick with a trusty old tank, I like the look of the Whippet.

Decisions, decisions....good luck everyone.

I should add that I'm probably looking for a fairly quick build, with a baby due in October and my OU degree course is re-starting next month too......

I was hoping the wnw triplane was going to be here to build but there is no delivery time for it yet. I would like to do one of my wnw kits but all time depending. I have got the Eduard strip down dh2 kit which I may start. Hope to have a full decition on what’s being built in the coming week
