Here is my entry for the SIG

Hasegawa 1/72 He111 H-6. This kit was the first Hasegawa kit that i purchased way back in 2007. As I primarily build single engine fighters and AFVs, this kit was being neglected ..... until now

The kit came with a PE set by Dragon USA. It consists of seat belts, rudder hinge and fins for the bomb

As I'm going on leave next week, time is running out for me to finish this. As I write this the kit has been primed and is headed to the paint booth. Hopefully I can finish it before I leave.

UPDATE

As I mentioned in my previous post (which was ages ago), I had a vacation coming up. I was trying to get this build finished before I went away on holidays. But a certain event caused me to drop those plans - the birth of my daughter The past one month was spent staying up all night and changing diapers every two hours. Every free time was spent sleeping and trying to recover my hearing

Now that my daughter and my wife have gone to her house to spend some time there, I finally got back to the bench and got this build restarted. All right, that's enough talk - now I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Got the RLM 65 on the underside along with the yellow theater markings. Next step - Decals

Disaster Strikes



A picture speaks a thousand words. This is what happened to the first decal I tried to apply - instant shattering. If the decal didn't shatter, it went on with mega silvering .I even contemplated giving up as I was that frustrated. Then a mate of mine gave me a can of spray on decal film. As I had nothing to loose, I gave it a go - and I was amazed

It stopped the shattering. The build was back on. Even though it didn't stop the silvering, I could atleast use the decals again - what was left of it that is. Most of them were damaged and it ended up like a jigsaw puzzle. I think I got most of the pieces



The ones that were missing pieces, I touched up (quite badly I must admit)



...but atleast it's not that noticeable from a distance



And soon she was up on her feet.



The masks are off ......



...and she is finished

As I don't have any time left for the weathering, I'll probably do that on a later date.

Thanks a lot 2KNS for letting me participate. I have a 3 month window before the wife and kid return, so I hope to get a few more kits built before I return to 1:1 scale diapering

Thanks. It was quite overwhelming in the beginning but we got used to it. Or rather she trained us very well
