Hallo from the Netherlands

Hi,
I'm Hans, 61, retired (at 57) and scale modelling is one of the hobbies I picked up (again) when all "must-do's" are done.
My other hobbies are music (active and in-active) sports, photography and I'm a wild-life guide on the Veluwe in Holland. Visiting the once-a-year three day Metal Festival in Belgium (Dessel) with one of my sons is also an event I'm always looking forward to.
As for scale modelling I have no 'specialty' and I just build whatever comes to mind, so all era's and/or subjects though I'm not much of a tankbuilder....

Recently finished a 1/72 model of the famous Tainanmansquare picture and now I've almost finished the same scene but with one tank and a very nice base. I'll post some pictures when it's done. Perfection isn't my aim. Setting a good scene is more important to me. I've included some pictures of my 'builds' with this topic.

Thanks Scott, I'll post some stuff in the portfolio area but..as said, the 'story of the scene' is of more importance to me then the 'perfection of the model' ( that's my excuse for saying that I'm bad with tanks, airbrush and PE-horror )

Thanks for the compliments !! I'm now working on a 1/35 Tainanman Square scene with a rather different groundwork. Will post it when it's ready ( and I'm happy with the result.......).
As for "the collector", I like scalemodelling but the most fun is just to build any idea that comes to mind so not just WW1 or WW2 etc.etc.
When you look at my website there's also "Thunderbirds", Western, Napoleon etc.etc. and I enjoy to "rebuild" a real picture into a 1/35 or 1/32 scene like Band of Brothers, Trenchhorror etc. ( the Fray Bentos was a complete set. It's only later that I found out the tank as well as the scene really existed).
