Returning to Modelling.

Post by Phyzio »

Hi. Am just starting to return to model building. Last built a model in my teenage years, am now 59 so a very long break!. Watched tons of YouTube videos, a lot has changed , new glues, new acrylic paints, air-brushes (which I cannot afford!!), paint effects like weathering etc.etc. Bought an old Revell kit off eBay, a 1:90 scale model of the Santa Maria ship. Have to say the quality of the plastic is pretty dire, also some bent/warped parts which do not seem to respond to hot water to restraighten. Maybe I should have chosen something simpler as my first model to return, (I forgot all about the bloody rigging!). Just need a man cave now. Cheers from Cumbria.
