1/350 HobbyBoss U-boot Type IXa

Greetings everyone!

Today I'm going to show you this little u-boot I made a couple of months ago. The model was really nice to build, and was easy to paint. However, the work in this model comes from the water scenery.
I started with a foam block, and carved the shape of the sub. Then added the basic waves by pressing the foam with a rolling pin. And here comes the old school stuff: cold glue and tissue paper.
First, square by square added one layer, the another in diagonal and the third and final one in reverse. When all dried, applied one thick coat of highly diluted cold glue to soften the surface.
I made the splashes and water spray with the same technique, and painted it with a lot of tones of blue and green.
Finally, everything was sealed with future (you read it right: the floor wax).
And here's the final result :

As you can see, the result its very convincing. Of course, still need some refinement.
