1/32 Aviattic RAF and German refuel carts

At Telford I purchased these two carts and they are mainly used to make your WW1 plane base look a little more interesting. These are very well detailed and relitivly easy to build up. These could quite easily been tagged into another build but as I don’t have any others going it seemed a good idea to build them together in one thread, this may also turn into a mounting base thread for a 1/32 wnw kit

These are the two kits in there packaging. They are bothe made from resin and will require some nice painting and weathering to bring them alive.
So let’s start this off with the raf cart
The main parts to this are the fuel barrel, the two wheels, handle and the parts that make the manual pump. There is no instructions supplied as the parts are quite self explanatory and the picture shows everything in its correct place.
The resin is nice, very nice level of detail and resin that’s easy to cut and sand. It’s not like the old verlinden stuff that’s hard and brittle.
With cleaning up of the plugs from all the parts I got it stuck together. I used araldite to stick the handle and the two feet on and then super glue for the pump.
Cleaning the wheels up was a bit more interesting as the spokes are quite thin and there was a seem on them all. Not the hardest problem but had to be taken slowly. Unfortunately one of the wheels had become warped. I tried to straighten it out but the spokes became very flexible which meant the whole thing became wonky so Richard has said he can get me a new wheel out so that’s good. With this all built up and waiting for a new wheel i will crack open the German one, this should be a more interesting item as I need to do some wood effect on the handle
