hey guy's long time no build. well I decided to pick up the knife and give it a another go.
I decided to start with something I know fits, and is a easy build so a new Tamiya kit fit's the bill. after watching andy hobby headquarters on you tube I picked this

what can I say the kit fell together in a couple of days, the primer is due in tomorrow so I can get to the painting, you know there maybe something to these smaller kits you can knock out in a couple of weeks.

got the color coat sprayed today. first time using mr color. mixed 50/50 with leveling thinner all I can say is wow . man did that lay down pretty.
in the before times I used Vallejo air, ammo of mig, and ak interactive. the Vallejo was ok, the ak was pretty good. and the ammo well you all know . my next kit i'm shooting hataka lacquer, we'll see how that does, and the kit after that I will be trying ak real color.
I was thinking about testers model masters but I think these lacquers might be better.

got the gloss coat coet sprayed today, used alclad aqua gloss went down real smooth over the mr color.

Looking like a clean, nice build. I've been interested in buying either this or the older M3 Stuart from my local hobby shop for a while, but I haven't managed to convince myself it's worth shelling out 35 euros for such a tiny tank without any photo-etch.

you have a good point there. the meng king tiger is about the same price, and that's a lot of plastic. for what it's worth this kit fell together in a couple of hours, and was a well engineered kit as I have ever built.
got the decals and a clear coat, just need to do some light weathering

you know I tried to build afv kit once. the Vietnam gun truck, i.ve never seen that bad of a kit before, directions that were uncomprehend able. rreally badly fitting parts. finished 2 or 3 steps and trashed the kit. I really think i'll never buy a another akv kit

I'm not absolutely sure, but that may have been a reboxed skybow kit....their M3 is a beauty reading the reviews.

edit.... yep think I was wrong about being a ex skybow kit.....BUT it did come from 1995 and one of their first

thank's digger i'll keep that in mind. fool me once and all of that, but I really want to try one of they m60 kit's.
stick a fork in it i'm calling this one done. first kit in over a year it was a peach fell together, first time using mr color paint. all I added was a light wash. an cleared with 50-50 testers dull coat and mlt.
