I'm back and not sure where to start

Post by Fridgy »

Hey guys and girls

So I'm back at the bench after a horror end to last year

Mojo is a little lacking and I'm not sure where to start with my megre stash

So I thought I would put a poll up and get people's opinions on which kit I should tackle first

I will leave the poll open for 7 days

Give me your thoughts

:cheers2:

Well bud, with the year of health and eye and bad luck you should start with something well designed, rather largish and easy to do a bit at a time.
So, I voted Bandai .....aside from Japanese only instructions, the ones I have done were awesome kits
Here is to 2019 and you kicking ass in all realms

1/35 Trumpeter ASLAV... because it is supposed to be a quick easy build with little filler required. So it shouldn't sap the mojo too much.

Hey digger,

I'll make it simple,... build the Centurion.

Hey Mick,

Best wishes for the new year :cheers2:

Well I would certainly steer clear of the Red Bull until your mojo has well and truly returned, fiddly F1 suspension and multi aero surfaces scare the bejesus out of me at the best of times :eeek:

Good luck :th:

R2 D2 would be a fun build and not too taxing on the eyes. Nice to see you back and better :thumb2:

Hey Fridgy!

I did the BB-8 & R2-D2 kit earlier this year (maybe last year) and it was a blast. Went from zero to completed good look model (with some good sanding and buffing) in about 1-2 hours per subject. I did spray a gloss black on R2's dome and sprayed again with an aluminum coat to get the shine I want (the supplied sprue is not that shiny) and it was great. Got all the modelling juices flowing again. Really good pick me up for me after moving house and settling to a new space.

Thanks for all your votes guys

I started R2 last night by priming all his metallic parts
