Good evening gentlefolk. Here is the Special Hobby 1/72 Sud Aviation Voutour IIB (or Vulture 2B in English). Being a Special Hobby kit means it comes with some built in challenges, so when I tried to put on the wheels after the model was completed I found the undercarriage legs are about 5 to 8 millimeters too short. It takes a special kind of talent to get something that wrong with a kit.

These aircraft never saw combat and were particularly well looked after so there’s not much scope for weathering. To give this model a patina to suggest a certain age I gave it a top coat of AK Xtreme Metal Polished Aluminum and then lightly sprayed over that five other shades of Xtreme Metal aluminum with more Dark Aluminum on the lower surfaces to suggest a shadow effect. I think it breaks up the uniformity of colour intensity often seen on metallic finishes. Then I gave the model a brisk buffing with micromesh to bring out a bit of the gloss again. It doesn’t look too bad?

1/32 Tamiya F-16C - Ultimate Dark Dirt wash applied to highlight the panel lines. Excess brushed on to panels and dabbed with kitchen towel to create dirty areas. Tamiya Panel Line Access Colour applied to the main panel lines/joints to step them up from the Ultimate base and again to dirty the panels.

1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk. IXc - fuselage internals and cockpit fiddly bits painted and major bits dry fitted. That is all.

Well Mathew this week i finish my first Bust.

Completed this French Cuirassier Trumpet Major 1813 in i think 1/10th scale.

This was a purchase from Telford out of the bargain bin, as i wanted to playa little and try doing a subject that i hadn't done before. :eeek:

Primed with Ultimate black, then a dust coat of Ultimate white primer. Painting the jacket base coated with model Color 833, helmet i have used Model color 801 brass, Metal color Steel. The face is a mixture of Scale 75 flesh colours.

Over the base colour a mixture of Model Colour paints to many to list and then used a couple of pinnacles pigments to finish it off.
Hope you like it. :cheers2:

Hi all, currently on the bench, Demonic Creations - Frankenstein. Lots of gory goofy details. Ultimate Primer as a starter with many different shades of tamiya green, and assorted mr hobby paints for the main course, with Windsor and Newton oil paints to weather and add texture for dessert.

The colours on the photo are a bit naff, but the monster is too tall at 10 inches to fit in my photo box thingy......
Nice to build resin kits with the freedom to really let my twisted imagination run riot. :shifty:

Great effort last week too, great to have such a great community support a good cause.
