This is the current state of my Academy 1/48 F-14. Painted using Mr Hobby 315. This week I've applied all the decals you can see here - still do to stencils. Once that's all done I'll need to get round to priming and painting the landing gear, pylons and missiles.

Tamiya 1/20 Jordan Ford 191

Getting somewhere near the end of this build now with only rear spoiler, wheels and some small parts to fit.

Finished with Mr Hobby Surfacer 1500, Zero Paints custom paint set for this car and cleared coated with Zero paints non 2K lacquer.
Tamiya LP range paints have also been used.
Only a very few selected PE parts have been used from the Tamiya upgrade set.

After market decals were used and masking off for painting had to carried out as kit decals were scrap.

Some more progress on my 1/32 airfix b-type bus 'ole bill'. Just about calling it done on the first phase of weathering, played with oils and enamel for the first time and only my second time weathering a model. now to let the paints cure then seal it then will try and play with some pigments to put some mud and dirt on it.
Based in vallejo english uniform and weathered with abteilung 502 oils and some testors enamel.
thanks for looking.

Good evening fellow modellers. Here is the Croco Models 1/72 Aero Commander 520, another full resin kit. It is a very nicely moulded kit whose only deficiency is the celluloid transparencies, which let the whole thing down and why you can’t see inside the cabin very well. Assembly was more or less straight forward though there's lots of filler around the ring and tail roots - and many other places too, in this case Tamiya white filler and Mr Surfacer 500. The kit comes with decal options of US Army, US Air Force and this civil scheme. Since there are already enough military models around I chose to make the civil one. The white is Tamiya primer under Tamiya Pure White, with a touch here and there of Xtreme Metal metallic paints.

Kit started out as a 1:25th monogram 41 willys street rod.

Ultimate grey primer , body colour mecha red by vallejo. Other paints used where vallejo metal colours and ak xtreme metals
Carbon fibre decals by fuel me as the kit supplied one where junk.

1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk. IXc.

This week I have been mostly working on the cockpit and pilot and of course the fiddly bits required different colours didn't they :wall: Tamiya acrylics used throughout and washes by Ultimate. By the time you read this the fuselage halves should be glued together :th:

Hello Paul and the Live Crew :hi:

Got this one done in just under 2 months.
It's a Hasegawa.. go on Dan say it again: Hasegawa 1/48 F-16C (Block 52) Polish Tiger Demo Team, presented in flight. I used an Eduard Zoom set, Master Pitots and static dischargers and a Model Maker mask set. Primed in Ultimate primer of course, painted with Ammo paints and clear coated with AK.
The kit went together quite well, but it is very noticeably a 1980's kit. It's a bit disappointing when you spend 40-50€ on it, but i guess i liked the box. The utility gloss clear coat caused me quite a bit of headache, since it laid down extremely rough, which made it a pain to weather and keep clean. Thankfully i got some good advice on the facebook-page, and will be using Aqua gloss from now on.
I like that i got it done quick, and i hope you like it too :D

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Managed to finish this Planet Models 1/48 FFVS J22 last week. It's a nice kit with good fit for being a complete resin kit, didn't really have any problems with fit. I added some details in the cockpit, rivets to the fuselage and the decals are a mix of the kit ones, Tarangus A32, Pilot Replicas, Flying Colors and printed one myself. Painted in MR Paints Swedish colors.

Taking a break from the current armour project to have a dabble with a car kit. This is Tamiya's 1/24 Aston Martin DBS. So far the engine block, front suspension & underside have all gone together without too much bother. The semi-gloss black is a 60:40 mix of Ultimate Gloss & Matte blacks, metallics are predominantly Vallejo aluminium & gold with some citadel steel brushed into smaller places.

Finished the lotus 49b from ebbro, painted with alclads for the metal parts and zero paints for the red white and gold. Had trouble trying to mask the front nose for painting the gold as I didn’t won’t to use the gold decals got there in the end.
Added the wires and pipes for extra detail.
Nice kit but you need to take care because any miss alignment in the early part of the build will come back and bite you when you come to add the rear suspension and engine and gearbox and try to get the wheels to line up.

This is a Yamaha XV1000 Virago. I built it for my Dad as a surprise (He had the 750 version). It was my first bike and a joy to build. I stripped all of the kit chrome (there was quite a bit of it) with lye and repainted with Alclad Chrome. I just felt the kit chrome was too much and there were many seam lines that needed to be addressed. So the only thing on this kit that wasn't painted was the main headlight lens! The main color is Liquid Blue Pearl from Splash Paints. I used Splash Paints 2K for the clearcoat. The seat was painted using Splash Paint's new Black for Upholstery. I chose to paint the frame matte black and used Ultimate Black primer as it is my favorite matte black. The rest of the parts are a combination of several Vallejo Metal Color paints. Mostly, Aluminum and Dull Aluminum with Gold for highlights. Some additional highlights were painted using Molotow Chrome ink and a toothpick (which is just like a cocktail stick). The clear paints were from Tamiya. There are some mirrors that go on the handlebars, but I knew they would never survive the shipping process so they were delivered in a baggy. Can't wait to build another bike it was a great experience with minimal cursing.

Painted with the best primer, i used Ultimate black and white, painted with a mixture of model color, metal color and even a little cocktail of Revell, model color and Airfix for the blue.

Good Day Folks!
I started my 2nd build. I am working on a Porsche RSR 934 Turbo, Tamiya kit. I have made some progress. I have cleaned the chassis and body and primered. Image.
Image
I am doing the final checks on the primer right now, & I hope to get some paint laid down this weekend. I have taped off the engine, wheel wells, and rear intercoolers to paint later.

Hi all,

I'm new to ISM and having a whale of time with you chaps. This is my current, and only 2nd build since getting back in the saddle after over 20 years. The USS-1701 B Enterprise from Generations. Getting my behind kicked with the masking of all the aztecs but having great fun!

Thanks for taking a peek.
