Orange peel in paint

Post by jmurphy18 »

Folks, if I missed it some where I apologize. I painted my 2nd car and I have a bunch of orange peel in the paint. Not sure if 8K -12K sanding is going to take it out or If I am going to have to reshoot the body. Bottom line what did I do wrong shooting the body to get orange peel? Did I lay the paint down to heavy? Paint is Tamiya X-5 and Tamiya thinner. 1:2 ratio. I used an airbrush not a rattle can. PSI was 20 & I do have a moisture trap on the compressor. Not sure you can see it from this pic but I will post.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice. Still learning.
