Space Cadet #5 Standing by!

Here in my stash I've decided to my 2 AMT/ETRL figures Star Wars Han Solo and Luke Skywalker for this Sci-Fi SIG my first ever SIG can't wait to get stuck in. I have had these figures for a year now just waiting for the opportunity to start them and what better then to start them then on this SIG.











I will be attempting to airbrush the figures using Tamiya and AK interactive paints hopefully they will turn out alright. I do like painting figures but I'm never happy with the end result but I think us modellers are always highly critical of our own work.

I am quite busy at work at the moment plus having started doing a zombie outbreak diorama so it will probably take me a while to get these done.
I am also hoping to do a scene for the figures by using information from Diorama Workshop which is great website for making Star Wars dioramas for the 3.75" figures here is the link if you want to check it them out http://dioramaworkshop.com there are some cool dioramas on there. But obviously mine will be done at 1/6 scale so have a lot of working out to do. Lol
I'm gonna put them on a scene from the Star Wars 'A New Hope' Death Star should hopefully that will make them pop.

Very cool, those kits look very retro, although Luke looks a bit like Bieber

I'd better to a good job then on Luke wouldn't want it to look that muppet Bieber on my shelf when it's done or could I sell it as Bieber doll when it's done. Ummmm!!

Hi guys managed to do some work tonight I've managed to start on Luke glueing his arms and head to the body and boots to the legs. I used Gorilla Epoxy Glue on Luke wasn't really quite sure what glue to use and then used the Tamiya tape to hold in place until set.









There is some good details on this figures looking forward to painting them.
They will require some work on the joints maybe some filling but overall they fit really well.

I also glued Han but this one I used superglue I will see in the morning which one is the best hopefully they both work.





Hans right arm was in two parts so will have to do something about the join by the elbow area.





I will now let the glue dry over night to then join the body to the legs.
