RB Saws

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to buy a razor saw and I was wondering If anyone had use the rb saws with blade holder ? And if yes if it was any good ? I know everyone praise the JLC one but this one is easier for me to get.
And if it's good which blades would be good to have ?

I don't have either of those. Mine is unknown and that's a worry when it comes to find replacement blades. I have a wooden handle job an it is quiet big. The handle fits my whole hand and the blade is about 5" long and 11" overall. It has a stiffener along the top edge and its great for big jobs and thick resin however if you wanted to remove small parts from a plastic sprue I could see that you might want a mini version with a pointy blade. I currently use small PE blades for fiddly stuff, but they can bend and get a crimp in them if you push a little too hard plus the teeth are very fine and it can take a while to perform any deep cuts.

Hello !!! How are you ? the puppy by miracle is still in really great shape !! The mass of the tumor is quite bigger now but she is in a really good shape ! Thanks for asking ! hope everything is good to on your side ! No time for the sig sorry. And never did a sci-fi kit before. I have a few Star Wars kits in my stash given to me by my brother. But I've been on the same 2 projects for the last 6 or 7 months having not much time to do modeling. And don't think I'll have much more time this summer for it But I have to make time to for it too ! How was hockey season ? Isn't one your kid got at high level if I remember right ?

Yes it is stupid hockey try out time. I am much quieter this year than last as there is so much politics involved in a goalie catching onto a junior team it is heartbreaking. He has made the four final camps that he has tried out for, but not been signed or committed to. He knows how to play the political game so I just sit back and see what happened. Tough boy that, I would have quit long ago.

I bought some CMK saw blades. I fitted one into the end of a large Xacto handle. Works great.

I've got both the CMK and the JLC basically blades are same and I've been using CMK ones in JLC handle.

The plastic handle for the CMK saw isn't great, bit of flex and expensive for what it is, it only uses one of the mounting holes for an actual bolt the other is just attached by small plastic tab which I've had pop out.
If you can get JLC handle go for that but CMK blades equally good in it if getting those as spares is easier.

While trying to cut one of my CMK blades in two, to make it narrower, for parts removal from spure, I used this tool.



All it did was shatter the saw blade. While picking up the pieces, I had an idea. I put a small piece of broken blade into a pin vise. Now I have a small saw for parts removal.
