Dragon armour instructions help

Can anyone answer the following please?
Dragon armour kits. The kit I am building has a fair few alternative part options. The vehicle model chart at the rear all show the same,2 versions.
I do not have any reference to go by BUT was wondering this. when you get a option of 2 parts ,1 part number is always above the other, say G1 or G2 so if I was to use the upper number throughout the build do you think that would be correct in choice to match?
Hope that makes sense, These instructions are really not user friendly with options choice

I would say that makes sense, but with dragon instructions it isn't always true.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Dragon instructions! They can be confusing and that's putting it mildly. Usually, when there's an option of different parts, Dragon will indicate this by blue and white back-to-back arrows in a box. Next to this should be a 1 or a 2 (or even a 3 if it's one of their 3-in-1 kits) and this will determine which part you should use. At the start of he instructions, usually under the colour call-outs and next to step 1, it should list what the options are. Sometimes these will be in a different colour as well.

However, as no two dragon instructions are the same , who knows for sure! If yours don't have this, then assume that the top one is option 1 and the bottom one is option 2. Also, a little bit of research should help you out.

Best of luck, they're not the easiest to decipher, but you'll soon get the hang of them.
