1966 Chevrolet Suburban Revell 1:25

Post by chops1sc »

I've been wanting to build an old truck that I can add some rust and patina to. I saw this 1966 Suburban in a hobby shop and pulled the trigger. I thought about entering it into the road vehicles GB but I want to take my time with this one.

I started with the engine and I decided I wanted it to look "well used".

Then I decided to try my hand at plug wires!

That's right! A Ford can't last long enough to rust, LMAO! j/k

Here's a shot with the air cleaner and the primed frame. I have since painted the frame with Ammo's Dark Tracks paint.

Took a deep breath and started destroying the paint!

Added some color to simulate rust and a primered door.
