1933 Cadillac v16 towncar from minicraft in 1/16 scale

This is a vintage kit from minicraft circa early 1980's I believe.. this kit is neat in that it provides steel hinges for the hood and wire rods for the doors. I've discovered the wire for the doors has become brittle and one is broken so I'll have to remake it with a small paperclip. I'm going to attempt to take my interior detail work to another level on this one since this model is so huge and use some selections of fabric for the carpets and possibly the seats. We shall see how it turns out. So far the fabric I glued to the floor for carpeting worked out pretty good. But that's a fairly flat surface. Covering the seats with the leather looking vinyl I purchased might be a whole different experience and challenge because of the thickness of the fabric.

I have made a mini craft MGTC in the same scale and had an absolute blast with it
Great scale to build in and add detail.

Added some felt type fabric for the carpet and headliner also painted the body in model master metallic silver and a model master "custom Red" which is, I think like a clear red. I was going for a candy look. You don't see very many 30's luxury cars in a candy color. Also tried covering the seats and door panel in a brown leather look vinyl.
