Just a little update....

Does any one want a ciggie......?

:
I got this kit for £4.99 in Hobbycraft, the only good deal I have ever found in the place. So I am watching your build with interest Lee. Its going well so far.

Though those don't look like normal legal ciggies ... I guess its okay to have space cadet smokes for this build.

First go at using alclads and I've got to say I've fallen in love with a paint! It has to be the easiest and smoothest paint to spray, sheer bliss applying this stuff and the finish is ultra smooth.... :D

Nearly finished now...

Just got to do a very fiddly job and paint the fins on the Soyez orange, give it a few coats of varnish and do the base then it's all done!

The instructions call out for the inside of the booster rocket nozzles to be painted red, but I don't think they were and I'm having a hard time finding out for sure. Does any one know one way or another?

I think it looks pretty good on it's own without a base but that's just me. Terriffic progress. looks like you might be the first one done.

Lee, I can confirm that the rocket nozzles interiors are definitely Red. If you watch this Youtube clip you can see the business end of the rocket as it is rolled out to the pad right at the start.

If you are interested in the soviet space programme the whole series is well worth watching. :thumb2:
