Cadet of Space #21 Wedges snowspeeder and other bits...

Post by Quax »

Having been forced kicking and screaming into this SiG by Scott I had to decide on what to do as I have never built sci fi kits before. As I've heard good things about Bandai I decided to go initially for the snowspeeder and AT-ST in 1:144 and then if I liked it I could progress.:

I liked it :jd: :jd:

So ath the moment where are we? Bandai please start building tank lits is all I can say, the engineering and detail is amazing, its designed to clip together and does exactly that and I am now awaiting the delivery of the now obvious bits, the AT-AT! That explains why it has to be Wedges speeder with the orange flashes, Lukes doesn't have them!

4 sprues are in this box, 2 for each kit

There is a base and stickers, the instructions are on the bottom of the lid

Image

they all go together very easily

As I need the speeder in flight I trimmed the base of the stand arm to fit the hole, everything was then primed in Ultimate black and coated with RAF greys from AK Real colors

I then managed to find a bit of wire that was thick enough to support the speeders weight

Image

and did a bit of dry brushing as well as a quick varnish and panel line on the AT-ST

Just awaiting the next delivery now! :eeek:

thanks for looking and many thanks again to Scott for putting himself through this after the brilliant Bomber Sig last year!: : : :

cheers

Gotta give great credit to Bandai, they make fabulous kits so easy and quick to assemble often without a stitch of cement
This looks very good mate and you have had more fun than you expected!!!

Looking very good. I really fancy an AT-AT myself.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
