So another small update I've managed to get prepared for the sparky that's coming tomorrow to fit all the electrics,I run the armour cable around the house in the week after work I still need to cut a groove for it to be below the step, then today got it into the cave all ready to be connected weirdly it's this point I've been most excited about proper electric instead of a extension lead run out to the cave but not for much longer

Nice. Doesn't have to be buried??
You are getting closer mate :thumb2:
I fought one of those and buried it in pea gravel on the back side of the house...was like working in quicksand and there was a fair bit of foul language involved

Haha no not really required to bury it however the bit on the step that needs a groove cut in it will be covered in concrete eventually to level up with the existing patio, and it’s probably the last thing I need outside assistance for

Nice. My electrician doubled up on the wiring so any of the sockets can be moved anywhere the length of the run, or added to. He even left three spare double sockets

Another instalment from the slowest cave build in history :nena: :nena:
Nothing massive but it's got to be done lol it's all the trim pieces around the ceiling and window and door and internal corners that just tidy it all up and make it look loads better it's a long and drawn out thing after work and so far 2 weekends 😳 But it's nearly done thank god πŸ˜‚ Then it'll be on to painting the walls and ceiling then work tops and so on etc etc

Might be an idea to stick up a curtain screen around the bench area and save some lecktrickery pennies?

Well we're into the final faze of construction the wall that's going to separate the garden tools from the cave is going up that should see an end to a lot of mess (thank god) it's been great doing it all myself but it probably would have been done sooner if I paid someone to do it for me but that's not for me if I'm doing something then I want to see it through to the end, and on the subject of ends the cabinets arrived 4 days early 😬 Not a bad thing but not exactly ready for them but I'll muddle through πŸ˜‚ As you can see from the pictures I've still got some way to go but it's getting there    Image

Not gotten as much done as I had hoped to this weekend due to whether and household chores (hanging some doors that the wife been wanting me to do for ages) πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ but with that out the way I did manage to get the back wall finished and another door hung πŸ™„πŸ™„ now I have an area for work tools and other stuff that I don't want near the modelling stuff, but on a plus with all of the walls and stuff done its now time for cabinets and worktop and all the other fun stuff so maybe a bit more dust to come πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ I'm still pushing as hard as I can do (with work and a bad back again)😳 i will get there lol

Managed a few hours in the cave today due to the rain but got some some cabinets built only another 2 to build then move them into some sort of position till I get the worktop speaking of which I'm just waiting on hearing back from a company about said worktop hopefully if the price is right I could have them here by the weekend, it's at a stage now where it's changing daily and that's good for my motivation 😬 But while ever it's moving forward I'm happy

Hopefully when it's done I'll not have to do nothing to it for a good few years it's been a slog but it's definitely getting closer every week now, hopefully when the MacBook come back from the computer nerds( having an upgrade ram and new hard drive) it'll work properly and then I'll get all the cables in for that then a lick of paint and Shazam it'll be done maybe lol

Update time again all the cabinets are roughly in the place where they are going (maybe) not sure on putting the feet on the cabinets (thinking they maybe to high) but I know more when the worktop arrives next week   but as all things the day after the worktop comes I'm off on my summer holidays so it'll all have to wait till I get back but at least I'll have something to get my teeth into and hopefully I can have it all fixed up before I have to go back to work and back to the slog, although after the holiday it'll not be long for Telford which will keep me going having that to look forward to,but for now I'll have to just think it all through for a couple of weeks lol

And some of the pictures that will be hung in the cave (not the erasure ones there the wife's)
Image
I like looking at other people's caves/work areas it helped me some when I started planning mine I have a picture in my head how I want the finished cave to look like and hope I get somewhere close to it although it may still take some time to get 100% finished I'm hoping to be sort of in by Christmas (maybe not holding my breath though lol) anyway till next time 🀘🏻🀘🏻

We both really love music it's something that we both get to do,expensive sometimes but to see the best bands you've got to pay up it seems that all things that seem like a hobby are really expensive pmsl
