Didn't turn out as well as I thought once photographed

editing.
Photo washed the colors a bit
To tidy up this post this a Italeri Coal engined Opel Blitz Kit No 6457. A very old kit from 1973 reboxed in 2007.
It went together without any drama's except the vinyl tyres were starting to split. I didn't bother trying to do anything about that.
Also the pe latches mostly got knocked off by my clumsiness so now there is none.
Base coated with Tamiya mix of xf-4and xf-57. then I scribed some wood grain into the doors/ brown wash over the top trying give it a aged look. Coal Burner... AK extreme colors for the boiler top around the bottom of it I went with a light grey paint, added some rust color around the edges of the grey and dabbed some ash color pigment over that sparingly . I went over everything at the end with a AK sand wash. Not really happy with that then Winston and Newton matte varnish as the top coat seal. Unfortunately I should have left the ash pigment till last as the varnish obliterated most of it.

1/12 Scale Trumpeter Ford GT40 MkII - work in progress.
Main engine assembly now finished.
After market white metal drive shafts have now been shortened for fitment reasons and have a little more work to do to them before fitting.

Paints used are mainly Zero Paints metallics.

I've carried on working on my 143mm Games Workshop/Forge World marine this week. Head & Shoulders (so no dandruff) have been completed using Andrea paints freehand over the base Vallejo orange rust. There's a bit of shiny on the decals to sort out but shouldn't be too much of a problem. John & Tim were chatting last week about the relative scale of this so I've dug out a regular 28mm GW Space Marine to give some idea of the size.

Good evening happy modellers

This Revell 1/144 Airbus A310 model in Air Niugini markings should be finished by now. It would be except that the cat ate the last of the window decals. A real mojo killer. It’s on the back burner until I figure out what to do next.

Unspecified scale Hasegawa Su-33 Flanker D Eggplane Buddy Build (probably for Easter 2020) :nena:

Primed in Ultimate White Primer and mostly using MRP paints for the topcat, the nose is a sexy white colour and the underside a sexy blue. Yes I'm doing the Su-34 colour scheme on the Su-33 but it's my model and just thank your lucky stars it's not pink :hi:
