Brilliant work - the contrast between Frankie's black coat and the dress is stunning.

Work killed me for a few weeks so no building at all. :(

Getting back on track to finish by the end of this month. Really.

After priming the sofa I saw what an awful job of seam cleaning I did. So more filler and sanding.

Image

Primed again and looking a lot better.

Image

Backdrop in progress. I've been trying to add depth to the textures and also changed the stone wall tones - especially the mortar. I saw this kit built up online (in color) and the builder had the mortar darker than the stones. I liked that better than what I was doing. I still don't know what shade to make the platform the sofa rests on.

Image

Image

Lightened the Bride's arms. I think this is a better match to the original and won't be such a contrast with her dress.

Image

Speaking of the dress - I didn't like the way it looked so I sprayed more white and will address the shading later.

Image

I also didn't like the Bride's head so have started re-painting it. Frank Jr's arms look pretty good though! Those will be going on once I finish dusting up his suit a bit.

Oh, Frank Jr!
See, this is what you get using an abnormal brain. He had a little tantrum and spilled some goo.

Sigh.

The push to finish is on!
The Bride's arm wraps have a wash. A bit too heavy so I'll have to tone it down a fair bit. I wanted to highlight the folds and over did it.

Image

Image

The sofa get more work. I used a flat black on the wood to offset the shiny cushion.

Image

Image

Repaired the floor of the base. More work on the shading. The flash makes it look harsher than it really is.

Image

Frank Jr. is trying out his moves. Good luck with that - I saw the film. Also, I gave him some staining on his suit. He has been crashing around the country side a bit.

Bride of Frankenstein? More like Bridezilla!

She resists my every effort at make up so I've had to start over.

Image

She hated the color of her gown - 'it was the wrong white'. Really girl? Is this OK?

Image

She hated her arm wraps. Still working on those.

Image

"Have you ordered for the bar yet?" Uh, working on it!

Image

Image

I painted the inside of the bottles with a semi-transparent gray. The seams will be visible but I'll deal with it. It's alcohol - right? So what if there are little things preserved in some of them?

Added some gloss to her lips and eyes so the paint will go on smoother. Her hair and skin are just about done though.

She has arms!

I may actually make it!
