Evening gents. I've been working on a 1/43rd scale Kraz 260 model from AVD models the past couple of days. This Russian company makes multi-media kits with die cast frames and cabs and plastic details. These kits build up into beautiful models, but they require a lot of effort. The cabs are usually very good, but the frame and detail parts are a pain to clean up. I added lots of scratch built details to this one, most of them are not yet attached. I spent days sanding and polishing the cab before I painted it with an off white RAL color rattle can after a good coat of Tamiya surface primer.

I hope you like it.

Good evening happy modellers, potentially.

This week I’ve completed a shelf queens that has been bugging me for the last year. It is the Micro Mir 1/144 McDonnell Douglas MD-11 with Welsh Models conversion parts and decals to make the Swissair variant. The model was painted in Tamiya rattle can lacquers, all decanted. Grey and white primer, TS-26 Pure White on the upper fuselage, TS-55 Blue on the lower fuselage, TS-19 Bright Red on the tail, TS-83 Matallic Silver on the leading edges, TS-42 Light Gun Metal on the fan blades and AS-12 Bare Metal Silver on the engine hot sections. The grey and corogard on the wings are my own invention.

1/32 Tamiya F-4J Phantom:

Primed in Ultimate White the pre-shading was done with a 40/60 mix of Mr Hobby Aqueous H57 Aircraft Grey and Mr Hobby Levelling thinner - still too dark. Topcoat on underside of port wing is MRP-135 Insignia White of which I reckon a purchase of one more bottle should see the underside, pylons and weapons done :cheers2: Must buy more MRP-99 U.S. Navy White as well

Currently on the bench:

1/32 Tamiya F-15E Strike Eagle
1/48 GWH T-33 Shooting Star
1/48 Revell (Monogram) F-15C Eagle
