Trumpeter C1 Ariete 1/35

ahoi fellow modellers!

haven't finished a model in ages, so this is another desperate attempt to getting something done.
I chose the trumpeter ariete kit for it seems not to be overly complicated to build with only 227 pieces and rubber tracks (which are totally ok for a tank like this since the side skirts cover a good part of them). wish me strength, endurance and luck

in the last few days I managed to complete the running gear and cleaning up the road wheels. I also merged the two hull halves.
next: upper hull details!

ahoi!

it took me forever to clean up all the small tools and things which I had to attach to the turret and hull, but now I'm almost done with it.
the kit doesn't have a lot of parts but still it takes quite a lot of time and effort to build it.
I wonder who will be the first manufacturer of model kits being able to produce without mold lines and flash - they'd be crazily rich in no time I bet!
and imagine how much easier and less monotonous our life as model builders would be

And I don't know, cleaning up flash and injector marks are all part of the experience right?

The vinyl track has some nasty looking kinks in it. Will you be able to straighten them.
