Achilles winter dio is done.

A F V Club Achilles kit, Bronco track set, Mini art British tank crew and a Miniart dio.

Paints used on the tank and dio were Vallejo/AK apart from the Precision Ice and Snow winter camouflage paint and snow sets.

Had a great time with this build and lots of fun with the snow.

Good evening happy modellers.

Tonight here is my recently completed 1/144 Revell Airbus A320 in the livery of Skywest, from Southern Skies decals. The main colours are Tamiya rattle can Pure White and my own mixtures of Airbus grey and Skywest blue. The wing decals are from BA Decs.

It's not a great angle, but here's my Mirage Hobby 1/48 Lublin R.XIII that I painted and assembled yesterday in one sitting.

I used Vallejo Model Color Pale Grey Blue for the main colour, and Vallejo Metal Color Dull Aluminium for the metallic parts.

Good evening Dan, this week I finished my 1/24 Aoshima Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

Overall its a good kit with excellent detail, although a little tricky in places. I added the Aoshima detail up set which complicated things a bit more, namely the rear bumper, lights and side windows is where I had fit issues. That aside I'm more than happy with the end result.

Ultimate Primers.
Splash Viola Parsifae.
Splash 2K.
Tamiya LP Paints.
Zero Paints textured Charcoal.
Aoshima detail up set.
Ultimate setting solutions.
Novus Polish and Tamiya Wax.
Ultimate Apex used throughout.

Have a great show and a wonderful weekend everybody. :cheers2:

I've been working on Trumpeter's 1/35th T-80BV. A very complex kit with very good detail and too many parts to count.
I'm not sure how I'll paint the turret once all the ERA blocks are attached. Also not looking forward to the 200+ individual track links and guide horns...
The plastic barrel is test fitted only and will be replaced with a metal barrel from Aber.

I finished up my Tamiya 1/72 Mosquito B Mk. IV for the Tracks & Wings GB last weekend. Went together well as you'd expect from Tamiya with the only major surgery required to get the crew in and close the undercarriage bays & just one crumbly decal. Paint was Vallejo Model Air over Ultimate grey primer. A black sludge wash and AK Ultra-matte to finish. Mounted on a Perspex rod for that "in flight" look :)

Trumpeter 1/12 Scale Ford GT40 work in progress.

All now ready again to attempt doing the clear coat on the GT40 after the previous attempt had the decals desolve on the front end.
After failing to get the after market red panel decals to work this time I gave up and had a friend make up some custom masks and have now painted the fluorescent red instead.
A much better job.
Hopefully will be getting the Zero Paints 2k on at the weekend.

Decals laid down on my 1/20 Tyrrell last night, ready for Pro-Range 2K over the weekend at some point. First time using 'Indycals' decals, I hope they behave themselves!

Just wanted to say the standard of work on display here is awesome as ever, all you guys have definitely made me try to step up and improve my skills, so thanks everyone!

that blue paint job makes the body shell very convincing in that it looks so like fibreglass .

AMT Budweiser Clydesdales 8 Horse Hitch Scale approx 1/20’ish

A bit of progress this week, despite not having had too much spare time. Front wheel, suspension, 5th wheel, & drawbar built up, truck body in paint, awaiting decals & pinstriping and first horse ready for paint. Slow progress due to the huge amount of clean up required of every part.

Good evening, happy modellers.

Tonight something different, a couple of Hobby Boss 1/72 Dewoitine 520s in World War II Armee de l’Air colours. The paint is all from my local automotive paint shop, colour matched to the best information I can find about wartime French colours because I haven’t been happy with what the commercial model paint makers offer and its availability here. It comes in litre tins which cost less than $40 each, but $35 of that is for the colour matching process so the cost of the paint is almost negligible. The paint itself is exceptional by model paint standards and dries almost instantly. The one with the completed paint job was started from a white primer base about this time yesterday with seven different colours applied. (It doesn’t smell much either.)

This week I finished the 1/48 Kinetic F/A-18+. Great kit which went together really well. I went with aftermarket Furball decals for the Ambush scheme. Painted with whatever I had on the bench - MRP, Tamiya and Vallejo. Weathered with 502 oils.

Work continued on the T-80 this week. I've added more details to the turret and replaced the barrel with an Aber 2A46M-2 kit. The barrel is built up from four turned parts to which I've added 14 etched parts so far with 19 more PE and 7 tiny turned parts still to be added.

1/48 Hasegawa SH-3H Sea King - snuck in as finished (pretty much) just before the October deadline. Ultimate primer, MRP paints, Ultimate wash and Abteilung 502 oils - applied and then taken off with 502 odourless thinner to leave a mess rather than a black mess  Wipers still to stick on but it's done.......
