1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 'Jagermeister'

Nice kit to build although its starting to show its age now [1976 molds ] but it certainly makes a show stopper when finished.

Paint used-

Tamiya Lacquer semi gloss black.
Tamiya acrylics.
AK Liquid Metals [alcohol based metal paint] used on the wheels.
Alclad metal paints.
Molatow liquid chrome used on the re-chromed parts.
Zero Jagermeister orange.
Zero 2K Diamond clear.
Zero window mask.

Final assembly where it was all screwed together went without any problems and the attachment points are all hidden .

Happy New Year Happy Modellers.

Tonight, fresh from its final decalling, is this 1/144 Zvezda Airbus A.320 in the livery of Kiwi International. The paint is Tamiya Pure White on the fuselage, Airbus grey on the flying surfaces and various splashes of Tamiya metallic TS lacquer paints. The decals are from Oldmodels, Ric Warcup, Skyline, 8S Decals and and my spares box.

This week I finished up my entry into the tracks and wings sig. It is a 1:144 scale Zvezda Airbus A320. The decals are inkjet aftermarket and were terrible. I ended up masking and painting the red stripe because the decals wouldn't stick well enough to handle masking. The model was primed in Ultimate white and painted with Vallejo Model Air colors. The base is extruded polystyrene insulation material. I covered it with toilet paper and a watered-down PVA mixture. I did the base paint with cheap acrylics and topped with Tamiya translucent blue and smoke. The final clear is Aquagloss. To make the impact splash I took a small jar of water and PVA glue and tore up small bits of toilet paper. I then let that turn into mush and placed it around a small divot in the base.

PS: I think my biggest accomplishment for this build was NOT breaking off the tiny little canards on the tips of the wings. I came close, but they stayed on!!

Finished off my Tyrrell P34 this week, barring a couple of really minor final touches, looking forward to moving on to a new project now though:

I almost finished painting my Trumpeter T-80BV. Still have a million separately painted parts to add to the turret and a couple to the hull, but then it's ready for a clearcoat and weathering.
Primed with Ultimate black, painted with Tamiya, Akan and Vallejo acrylics through my Apex. Crappy picture taken with my iPhone.

I just checked in on the last hour of chat from last night, more than happy for the Ultimate goody bag to go to M4H, I was in chat while the vote was going on but had to shoot off.

Well done Scott, some great work all round.
