Paint Problem

I have painted a car body in the Tamiya X paints but the paint job is rubbish, how do I remove the paint at start again?

I have stripped Tamiya paint with Ultimate primer under it using a gel oven cleaner





The gel and lemon scent is nice, put in a glass container, wear gloves and eye protection. It rinses always easily and no residue or harm to the plastic.
Others use: brake fluid (nasty), isopropyl alcohol (takes forever), bleach (messy and stains clothes easily)
This is my go to stuff for chrome removal and paint stripping

Or you can just use Isol, works a treat

Bleach or drain cleaner can work well too!

Guess it comes down to the cheapest or most convenient method or a combo. Maybe start with bleach/drain cleaner or easy off then touch up with something like ISOL.

I have been using Carson paint killer ,it seems to work really well.

Last night I used VMS Clean Slate. I just put a bit on a tissue and proceeded to wipe. The top coat of Tamiya came of cleanly and surprise surprise the Mr Surfacer primer coat stayed right there and I was able to just spray the top coat right back on.

I’m becoming a fan of VMS products. Thanks for the heads up on the paint remover.
