Hello from Minnesota

Post by Tankboy76 »

Hi All, Matt from Minnesota. I got back into scale modeling this year (my third try - after once as a kid and once right out of college). About a half-year ago I got the itch and went to my local store and bought a cheap Revell Porsche kit, some crappy paints and a can of Tamiya blue and just said I'd plow thru without worrying about how good it came out. The kit flew together and ~10 cars later I've amassed more tools and paints than I ever thought reasonable.

I just finished this Tamiya Sherman tank, and now I'm back to finishing a Plymouth 'cuda I set aside because I broke a decal.

I'm looking forward to at least one of the group builds - I have a few ideas for the top running categories. I plan to post more updates as I work thru kits.

Hi and welcome to the forum :hi: Great place here and regardless of what genre you build there are loads of experienced modellers just waiting to help you out if you've any questions - all you've got to do is ask :-)

If you don't know there's a great Youtube channel: ISM Youtube, a great Facebook site: International Scale Modeller a live show on Friday nights with great laughs, tips and hints and even free prize draws: ISM Friday Night Live at the Bench and if you have a webcam there's off-air hangouts where you can join live which I thoroughly recommend for those long winter nights: Off Air Hangout Group
