MFH Ferrari 321 P/B

Hi all while waiting for the 2k to dry on the Porsche GT1, i chose this as my next build. After seeing Hawkmoon building his MFH kit Ive decided to have a go at one of mine in the stash.
I am not brave enough to start a 1/12 kit yet so have decided on this 1/24 kit instead.
This will be built as the Ferrari that raced in the Targa Florio from 1972.
The kit is a mixture of white metal, resin, PE and turned metal parts.

Ive made a start on the engine parts by drilling the connecting holes out and test fitting.
This will be a slow build as I wont to try and do the kit justice.

Hi Barry, yes everything you see in the picture is included in the kit. There is also a PE sheet included as well.

Hi, bit more done to the engine. I’ve added the spark plug cables, fuel lines and velocity stacks which are turned metal.
Also added a panel line wash to the engine to bring out some detail.

Looking great @Tay99, and I didn't realize that this engine was a boxer style engine.

Fuel lines and spark wires are sweet!

Hi all bit more done today doesn’t look much, spent all afternoon drilling holes and fixing parts to the front tub and rear body work.







Drilled a 2.5mm hole and then added the tube then the PE ring, I think this is a breather for the fuel tanks as they ran down the sides of

Hi, the kit goes together well, lots of prep and test fitting before you committing gluing, the instructions are a bit vague in places,
could do with some better pictures, I am also struggling to Find many descent reference pictures or books on this car to help.

Thanks for the help. I did see this book unfortunately it doesn’t have many pictures more about race results and a few race pictures.
I am surprised Model factory hiro didn’t bring one of there books out about this car considering they have this in 1/12.
Ive seen part of a build on modeler site might have to pay and down load the pdf doc.

Hi all. Primed the bodywork with zero paints pink primer, then sprayed with zero,paints Ferrari Rosso, bodywork was then masked and the green was sprayed.

Now thats looking sweet Tay the green in a strange way sets of the red very nicely. Nice work as always.
