If I can enter (really really busy at the moment) I shall probably build a Westland Commando (British Army version of the Sea King) but as the only version in 1/72 is a super expensive Dragon one I shall probably convert from the Revell Sea King :) This is all of course if I can get round to it which hopefully I will

I have these in the stash, so I might as well do one of these and save the cash for something else.

Will I be allowed to do the CH-46E as it didn't come its original box.

Uhm. ...... nothing  ......

As much as I would like to enter I'm not yet confident enough to build a helicopter. Still being in the progress of developing my skills and having a fixed wing gathering dust halve finished it would be beter for me to wait.

Maybe next time :(

I'll be getting this one:-

and inspired by the SIG theme, I've got a HobbyBoss 1/72 Hind to do in a birdy scheme as shown on the voting thread. That one will be a long term paint job, that will probably take as long as Lee's Dora!

Don't worry about that mate, it's all about taking part, not to compare our skills.

Plus, there could be three Hinds if I include mine, but seeing as you have the HobbyBoss kit too, I'll not add mine to the SIG as I've got the Hokum to do.

I do not have much of a choice in this topic - what is in the picture "Osage" or Mi2 with photoetched parts (no manual) and mi24 after swimming in the soda :eeek: - maybe you will tell me,
or I may have to go to the store? :bash:

Just picked up the cobra from my LHS this afternoon over lunch, as well as some modelling clay... looks like I might be scratch-building a poop-load of 1:48 sandbags for this dio. Might want to pick up one more Huey Hog to complete the US Helipad/Nam base I have in mind.... SO many more options in 1:35, but for now, this will do :) I'll do a better kit review on Friday... can't wait!!!

After much shall I, shan't I, I thought, what the hell, what's life without a challenge and thought I'd give this a go.

I originally bought it with half a mind to enter the Cold War GB, but technically the decals that come with it make it just too late and then along came this one - it must be an omen!

Never done anything other than AFV and it's waaaaaaaaaay beyond my skills, but ya 'aint going to learn to swim if you don't jump in the pool!!!! :th: :th: :th:

Hmm if I can get some cash together for a new model (gf is starting to notice that my stash has increased already....although as I explained to her that is actually mostly from donations or prizes lol).

But if can, then this is what I will most likely get and build

Image

I have already built this kit before but it was one of the first models (in fact, the first) I did on my return to the hobby and so I would like to do it again and do a better job on it. I might also do it as a Dutch heli, or do it as British Army Air Corps again, not sure yet.

Got a few eggbeaters in the stash:

2 x 1:32 Revell Lynx
1 x 1:48 Academy Apache Longbow
2 x 1:72 Airfix Lynx
1 x 1:48 Airfix Merlin
1 x 1:72 Airfix Gazelle
2 x 1:72 Airfix Westland Sea King
1 x 1:48 Revell Westland Wessex

But got a real hankering for the old 1:32 Matchbox (Revell) Puma.

So i have now worked out what i am going to build Revell 1/72 Sikorsky Black Hawk but i am not going to do with it what you might be thinking.

I am going to need to do a little bit of work to it maybe. Also make my own decals. So it should be fun if nothing else.
