What would it be?

Post by DRUMS01 »

If you could have a scale plastic / resin model of anything... what would it be and in what scale?

This can be an antique kit remade with current technologies, an existing kit, or even of something not yet manufacturered. Because this may be difficult for some to only select one, I suggest we list three. I'll start with mine, and these are not necessarily in priority order:

1) 1/48 or 1/72 naval 16" three gun turret with complete inner workings

Image

2) 1/18 A-10 with full details

Image

3) 1/12 Lotus Indy Turbine car, full detail

I actually had about 10 more, so what are your "pie in the sky" dream kits of ANYTHING big or small?

..... Ben
On the table or recently completed:

1/18 AV8-B Harrier - WIP
1/35 Churchill AVRE with SBG Bridge Diorama - DONE
75mm BMW R75 WW2 motorcycle with rider - DONE

A 1/35 scale T-34 Model of 1941 available in the sub-40 euro category with modern tooling, or even just Tamiya's old tooling of the subject re-released.
Panzer III Ausf. E-H in the same category.
My third pick would be the FCM 36 French tank but ICM is actually releasing that this year so I need a new hipster choice...
A range of 1/35 scale airplanes from WW2, just so I could have my whole collection in a single scale.

First would be a 1/144 scale Nebuchadnezzar from the matrix

Next would be a 1/35th scale APU mech suit from Matrix Revelations

And third would be a 1/16 scale T-34/76 mod 1941

This was fun to think about, great post thread :th:

The Serenity from Firefly (any scale, but big enough for plenty of detail)

1/48 (or larger) MiG-31 Firefox

1/35 Panzer 3 D and E

And finally, at the very top of my wishlist would be a 1/24 scale model of this:

Rover P6 3500 V8 - with optional parts to make a police version out of the same box. I've owned two of them, and have always been annoyed that I couldn't build a model of my car.

I'd love to see Bandai add the TIE Bomber from Empire Strikes Back to their Star Wars range... they seem to have every other ship variant covered off but this one slipped under the radar.
