Paul's TNT 2001 Subaru Impreza

Post by Paul »

Tamiya's 1/24 Subaru Impreza 2001 built with the Reji Model TNT Scheme. Primed in Ultimate white primer, sprayed in Tamiya TS-12 Orange and Ts-26 white and cleared in 2K clear. Nice kit with a nice unusual decal scheme.

Very well done. It's hard to tell it isn't a real 1/1 scale.

hi, sorry im new to the hobby, you said "sprayed in Tamiya TS-12 Orange and Ts-26 white and cleared in 2K clear"
can you tell me if these paints only come in an aerosol can or can i buy them for my airbrush ?
im guessing the 2K by nature comes in a form you have to mix, like full scale 2K paint etc.
cheers Rob
ps the model looks excellent.

Hi Rob
Yes Paul often decants his Tamiya TS spray paints out of the rattle can into a bottle so he can spray them with the airbrush and get more control. It is an awesome way to get some great colours and they spray very nicely
He has a great decanting video I will find for you...you could do it on the dining room table and not spill a drop ;)

By 2k clear yes it is a 2 part like full car clear paint...again another few visits on that subject

Ton of really good technique videos done by our very own Paul Bertland :D
BTW, I canโ€™t believe I missed this original post, what a gorgeous model :thumb2:
