WnW Junkers D.1 Final Reveal

Great kit to build and went together without a hitch. decided to keep the raw aluminium look as there was one in the five choices WnW gave you in the instructions. Also I think it shows the corrugated skin much better. Alclad Aircraft aluminium was sprayed over Tamiya LP Semi Gloss Black for the metallic look and various acrylics used everywhere else.

Thanks for looking in both and your comments. Its a really nice kit to build and assembly is well thought out for instance on the fuselage its in 4 parts top ,2 sides and the bottom. When they all fit together there is no seam line along the top centre and the same on the bottom thats because the joints are along the edges of the top and bottom. This means when there glued together and you take you time you will have an invisible joint with no clean up needed.

I really like the raw silver finish. Makes it look like 1920's era which it could easily have been with that lovely monoplane wing design. Congratulations on another excellent build.

I thought WNW styrene felt better quality than most other kits when made the SE5a

Somewhere there are farmers with no barn roof or siding...all used for these planes

Thanks for looking in and your comments Scott your right theres a feel and quality to WnW Plastic like no other. I think because the molds are so highly detailed that a top end styrene had to be used to capture all that detail and hence another reason for the cost although for what you get I have always thought there a good price
