So the chain had to come off 3 times in total to get the length right, but it's done! It was surprising how well it went

Image

More wiring done, pretty much at a point of wiring the clocks up at the front. Here's the wiring on top of the airbox done. There's 4 wires going in to heatshrink, with one wore coming out, the just one into the connector. It was fiddly and I should have really done it off the bike, but with the wires being pretty stiff, I didn't want to try moving the wires into place only to have the glue give.
Image

Little wire and electrical connector for the temp sensor, too.

Today I'll hopefully be done with wiring and I'll get the fairings done!

Looking good... I'm just going to use the box chain when I do mine... I need more experience first.

Thanks mate!

Yeah, I get that I have barely any experience and it really shows in this build, but I'm not too bothered, gotta start somewhere and I'm liking pushing myself with the detail set. I've always been a 'Jump in at the deep end' kinda guy, hahaa

Thanks man! It's really testing me. I don't think I should have jumped in with a super detail set on my 3rd model, but I think I'm pushing myself and learning along the way!

So I got some paint on the fairings. I started laying the red down and on the 3rd and final pass, I'd just taken my finger off the trigger on the airbrush and a fly landed on the fairing :wall:
Image

Though the red came out okay.
Image

I masked off and started the silver. Got some over spray on the side fairings, though some careful sanding took the brunt of it out. Didn't grab a picture, though!
Image

I started decals, too.
Image

Today I'll get it decalled and hopefully start the clear!

Here's how the bike stands now.

Thank you! I've still got some wiring to do, though it was getting a little tedious, which is why I opted to leave the fairings until later, as I do enjoy painting and decaling, so it was there as a 'just in case I get annoyed' kind of thing!

I know! Surely the fumes would make him go Naaaaah I'm off!: I'm so glad I managed to get the chain back to a normal length. It was fiddly, and came off 3 times in total, I just didn't want to remove too much!

Thank you, I love seeing it turn from a painted bit of plastic to a fairing or a shell, etc!

Hahaa! Thanks man!

Buzzy boy has been removed and I'm starting wiring everything up up from. It's getting really close now, still need to paint the tank, but that needs some clean up since I spilled rubber black on it :wall:

Here's where I'm at. It's hard getting photos nice since I have spotlights in the room and the window so it's all reflections on the tiny stuff up front causing a blur.

Thank you man! It's really trying my patience today, the CA glue is not working at all when sticking the wires into the connector up front, but it works on other things, I just don't understand what's happening. I've been at the bench for an hour and I'm no further, I've actually gone backwards since one or two things have fallen off! :bash:

Better on the raw material as cement softens paint and on Pe parts also good to use a fine sand paper to give it a rougher surface for the glue to cling to. Plus if a joint has failed you must clean off all the old Ca before trying again as it won't hold very strongly other wise.
