OS2U Kingfisher

While waiting for Photo etch and another kit, I passed at my local hobby store to get some stuff and I did something I usualy dont do : I looked at the aircraft models ! So there was that cheap kit looking fun to build, I couldn't say no.


Lets start with a quick review.

So that's the kit, it represent a OS2U Kingfisher , a plane you would see on Allied Ships such as cruisers and battleships. Its main role was reconaisance and it wasn't really good at it due to its light engine.



The pieces are not actualy all on a sprue, they all came in a big mess inside the same bag.



There is your typical Captain America Decals.



The kit come with 2 figures, 1 is not that bad but the other.... he is probably a war amp.



The details are not that bad for a 1977 kit.





So I will be building this quick and comeback with the final result soon.

Oldy but goldy !

look at those Sink holes in the pilot.... Ouch !

plenty of raised panel lines... they even have 3D decals to help you with those now a days...
to replace those erased by sanding ... which could be handy here ?? if you plan to keep some of them?

Archer dry transfers has some!

I have no idea what you talking about (i know nothing about plane modelling), But it's ok . I will just keep it simple, finish glueing it then put it aside for a moment because I received my t-62 and now I have to rush it as fast as I can.

that's what I am doing, I already finished the turret. If it wasnt for work i would have done much more.
