For the Summer build I just started on the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica from the 2004 reboot of the TV series. Wasn't the kit originally planned for the build but horses for courses :)
Its not a bad kit - 60 odd pieces to make up 1 of the 3 Battle stars and thus far its going together quite well. I suspect the greater part of the work will come in the painting rather than the physical build.

    Howdy all!

Sabine Wren's TIE Fighter from Star Wars: Rebels. This was my second entry into the Summer Sci-Fi SiG. The kit is a Bandai First Order TIE Fighter in 1/72 scale.

Primed in Ultimate Black and Gray. Paints used include: Tamiya XF-85 Rubber Black, XF-83 Medium Sea Gray (RAF), XF-2 White, X-28 Park Green, X-6 Orange, X-8 Lemon Yellow. Plus tons of masking tape.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Good evening sometimes happy modellers.

Here is a work in progress, the beautiful new Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) MiG-19S. So far in an overall Tamiya AS-12 bare metal lacquer finish with Xtreme Metal AK 476 Steel blast panels. More excitement to come.

Evening young Dan. This week I've been working on my Miniart 1/35 SU-76. There were a lot of fit issues to overcome with this one but it's getting there at last. Paint has been Ultimate Black Primer with Vallejo's ModelAir 4BO set for the body work. Next up is weathering & whitewash... not necessarily in that order...

    Stay well everyone!

Quite a lot of progress since I last posted this - 1/35 Mirror Models CMP truck.

Primed in Ultimate Grey, painted with Tamiya Olive Drab, and now started weathering with some chipping and rust patches.

Good evening everyone, I won't bore you with another version of the N1 Rocket I said I finished last week but ended up making another, so here are two 3D Printed Star Wars Death Helmets I quickly painted this afternoon.

I had no intention of painting them and only made them to test 3D printing techniques, but when my 8 year old nephews son saw them his jaw dropped open, so I thought they'd make a nice surprise but I better paint them first.
