Me first! Gosh!

Good evening occasionally happy modellers.

No new airliner this week so instead here is the preparations for some. Twenty International Aero Eengine V2500 turbofan engines almost ready to be attached under the wings of ten Zvezda 1/144 Airbus A.320s. It is much easier to paint them first and then attach them than to have to paint and mask them when they are already stuck on. The colours so far are Tamiya TS-42 Light Gun Metal oversprayed with TS-80 flat clear, TS-83 Metallic Silver, LP-54 Dark Iron, AS-12 Bare Metal Silver and some more TS-42, this time unmatted. Masking all that is tedious work.

Not much to show this week, been slow since im back in work. But, I've got the chain on and it works like a chain should! Got the radiator detailed and some extra piping and some resin electronic bits done.

I will be heat staining the exhausts while watching the live show this evening, see you there!

Evening one and all

So this week has continued my work with the SBD-3 Dauntless bit Accurate miniatures in 1/48 scale.

Build a pair for the #airwarfare group build which started last week in the Model Officer's Mess Facebook page.

The cockpit was primed in Ultimate black and Model color 857 used as the base coat. Loads of other Model Color paint was used as well as a set of Kamizukuri seat belts applied. Although the gunners beasts are scratch made from what's was left as i finished the pack.
