Glue for parts on toothpick

Hey y'all!
Quick question to the pros here:
I'm using toothpicks for small parts to paint. What's the best glue for that use? I'm struggling a bit with Tamiya and the dry wood. And with gorilla glue I usually have nothing but problems.
Any recommendations?

If possible try drilling a hole in a hidden spot and don’t use glue at all. If you can’t do that I would use CA, just be careful where you put it. It will need to be in a hidden spot.

Depending on if there is a part of the part that won't be exposed. I stick it to the end of a toothpick using blue sticky tac.

Yep
I use a white PVA glue like Microscale Crystal Clear or or sometimes even CA. Little alligator clips too
I use the drill hole somewhere inconspicuous as well
