Keith’s cave

Post by 1001kjk »

I had this shed and wanted to turn it into a man cave
E3F47F06-16EA-45B0-90CA-2F3522E17357.jpeg
quotes from £20,000 to £3000 meant after watching Dan building his own and giving me some advice I had ago myself.
First job change the window

For a new custom made also had to change the wooden brace holding the roof above it

Next brace and insulate the roof, walls and floor
CFE46748-9303-403C-A22B-927BFF2B1953.jpeg
And fit a new door (second hand thanks mum)

Now at the point of fitting the floor and the walls then time to talk to an electrician regarding power points :thumb2:

You have that well in hand Keith although I had to look twice at what I think is tape holding up the roof insulation... :th:

Yes it is the insulation kept falling when putting the boards up, funny no problem with the floor🤪

Awesome
Love that you are doing it yourself, wish I were closer as could give you the extra window and huge resin door left over from our house build....both didn’t quite fit.
Really looking forward to following your work on this :th:

That would be kind of cool a small group going from one members place to another fixing up man caves in a leisurely manner with a small tot of rum or such here and there.

Well if get it wrong taking the pic and when you shift it to flickr. Click on the image in photostream that will bring it up on it's own. Then to the lower right you will see 4 options the first one is edit click that and a rotate option will appear and you should be right after that.
