Tamiya 1/24 Toyota GR Supra

Post by deniall83 »

Another build from me. Bought this kit as soon as it became available in Australia and built it straight away. I decided to do it in Launch Edition colours which consists of red leather interior, red side mirrors, satin black wheels and a metallic black finish. Enjoy!

Painting parts.

Body primed in Tamiya spray primer and painted in Tamiya TS-40 spray. I got a nice, smooth finish first time around.

Undercarriage requires some careful masking but looks great once done.

Clear coating the body outside using Mr Hobby Super Clear III.

Undercarriage nearly complete.

This is what's achievable with spray cans if you put in the time. A beautiful, glassy finish. Very difficult to photograph due to the metallic.

Done! Lighting was poor but you get the idea.

Wow that looks great.. did you have to polish that clear? Even the cat seemed to have approved.

All parts were painting perfectly.

Thank you! Yes the clear was wet sanded in various grits until perfectly smooth and then 3 stage polished and waxed.
